Download for Chrome

Works with Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Brave. Takes about 1 minute to set up.

⬇ Download — Free No account needed. No credit card. Just download and install.
1
Click the download button above

Your browser will save a file called hardin-filter-chrome.zip — usually into your Downloads folder.

2
Unzip the file

Find the downloaded zip file, right-click it, and choose "Extract All" (Windows) or double-click it (Mac). This creates a normal folder with the same name.

3
Open Chrome's extensions page

Type this into your address bar and press Enter: chrome://extensions

4
Turn on "Developer mode"

Look for a toggle switch labeled "Developer mode" — usually in the top-right corner of that page. Turn it on.

5
Click "Load unpacked"

A button labeled "Load unpacked" will appear on the top-left. Click it, then select the folder you unzipped in step 2.

6
Done — go use ChatGPT or Claude

Hardin Filter is now active. Visit chatgpt.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com, or copilot.microsoft.com, ask a question, and a small "Checked" badge will appear under the answer within a few seconds.

Why does Chrome show a warning? Chrome shows a caution message for extensions installed this way (rather than from the Chrome Web Store), because it can't automatically verify who published it. This is normal and expected — Hardin Filter is not yet listed on the Web Store while we're in early testing. The extension only reads AI chat pages and sends text to our checking service — nothing else.
